What is a good posture to sleep in?
Many people sleep at about a 45 degree angle not fully on their side but not on their stomach either. They bend their upper knee and keep the lower one straight. This position takes pressure off the low back.
Sleeping in this posture can be beneficial if two things are done:
1. Place a pillow between your chest and the bed. To keep your spine from twisting. This is where those body pillows help, or a smaller pillow will work just as well.
2. Roll over throughout the night to take the pressure off the base of the spine.
If rolling over causes pain in the hip that is against the bed or if you have pain in your low back when you wake up the best solution is go see a highly qualified experienced chiropractor. http://drburdmanchiropractic.com/
